zurich agents is an agents simulation of 20’000 pedestrians without a brain. They do not know where they come from and where they want to go. They can walk and swim, they cannot fly. They walk through streets as long as they are in the city and aimlessly walk into the fields when leaving it. A more systematic approach would take into account the brain which might cause the pedestrians to choose walking to swimming and additionally would seek a goal. This would result in a different output.
While this work has mainly aesthetical and experimental intents, it is also a critical view on the world of simulation, which tries to simulate and predict everything and everybody, but often fails to determine the right parameters and their value to get accurate results.
