In this five-day intensive workshop the students developed and prototyped a design based on digital data. A combination of Rhino 3D/RhinoScript was taught and used as a toolset. Step by step, students learned the very basics of RhinoScript, loading digital data into Rhino 3D, organising data, transforming data into geometry and preparing the complex model for production. The designs where CNC-milled, laser cut and 3D printed during one intensive and long day at the Rapid Architectural Prototyping Laboratory at ETH Zurich. The first week was completely guided, in the following two weeks the students finalized their work.
The workshop took place at the Chair for Information Architecture, ETH Zurich.
