CHRISTIAN SCHNEIDER

a collection of work

Christian Schneider is a computer scientist, researcher, designer and artist investigating in integrating computational methods into fields such as architecture, design, urbanism and data visualization. Aesthetics and optimization are at the core of his works. He holds an MSc in Computer Science and studied at the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland and University of Aarhus in Denmark. After being involved in projects at the Centre for Advanced Visualization and Interaction (CAVI) in Aarhus (2006) and a branding campaign for MTV World in New Zealand (2006) he joined the ETH Zurich Chair for Information Architecture (2007) as an application designer for computer-assisted techniques for architectural and urban modelling and simulation. He was involved in various research projects in the area of data visualization, digital fabrication, projection mapping, parametric urban design and simulation. He conducted lectures and workshops in the same areas. (2008 – 2011).
